No Rest for the Wickedly Social
Published 8 days agoΒ β’Β 13 min read
Alpharetta, Milton, Johns Creek & Roswell Events: Oct 16 β Oct 22
β Last weekend was a vibe! Did you make it to Restaurant Week or the Songwriters Festival? Friday night we grabbed NFA Burger at Avalon and couldnβt sit still once MJβs βBillie Jeanβ hit the speakers. ππ»
Saturday, we braved the road closures to try Made on Roswell Street β so worth it. The food was deeeee-licious (get the paella!) and the company even better. I was laughing too hard to take a single photo, but trust me, everything was chefβs kiss.
Sundayβs weather was gorgeous π and brunch at Snooze wrapped it all up β retro vibes, fluffy French toast, and syrup that nearly launched my jeans button into orbit.
Hereβs to another Alpharetta weekend that hits all the right notes. β

Cozy and stylish bedroom with olive green leather headboard. Designed by ECW Interiors
Itβs that time of year when locals arenβt moving out β theyβre moving furniture. With family visits, dinner parties, and βjust one nightβ houseguests on the horizon, Alpharetta homes are quietly transforming into boutique hotels. β
The market may cool down, but the sprucing up is in full swing: guest rooms get a glow-up, powder baths finally earn their paint upgrade, and every candle within reach suddenly smells like βcashmere woods.β β Because sometimes the biggest move you can make is just making home feel a little more wow before the doorbell rings. β
π Local Listing Snapshot: 3BR Craftsman near Wills Park with two guest-ready suites β listed at $815K.

How Not to Stub Your Toe in the Dark
Since weβve officially entered sweater season, have you noticed how early itβs getting dark? Itβs not pitch black, but by 6:15 p.m. youβre squinting at your desk papers, pretending you can see just fine β because who wants to actually get up and flip a switch? Yeah, me too. β
Next thing you know, youβre one eye closed, phone flashlight blazing, wondering why your home suddenly feels like a cave. Time to shine a light (literally) on the problem: most of us donβt have enough lamps. (And donβt you dare turn on that overhead light, Rebecca β those things are cheap, flat, and ruin all the cozy vibes.) β
So hereβs how to upgrade your room for less than $50: lamps β lots of them. Each room needs at least four, ideally one in every corner. Start with two on either side of your sofa. (You do have end tables, right?) β
Got a floating sofa and no outlet nearby? Wrong. Thatβs what rechargeable light bulbs are for. Screw one into your favorite lamp and let there be light β no cords, no problem. Iβve used this one for years, and suddenly your room feels warm, layered, and expensiveβ¦ even if itβs just the glow talking. β
Hosting season is coming. Get those lamps lit before your guests start tripping over ottomans. β Iβve used this rechargeable light bulb for years β it screws right into any lamp, holds a charge for hours, and instantly makes your space feel designer-level cozy without an electrician (or a fight with the outlet). Plug-free, drama-free, and perfect for the floating-sofa crowd.β β‘ Shop the rechargeable bulb hereβ β π‘ Editorβs Picks β Let There Be (Good) Light
Because cozy lighting deserves more than one plug.
