It's officially spring, yeah!! Hello April!! π¦ I think the kiddos (k-12) are on spring break this upcoming week so traffic should be a little bit lighter but more kids out and about so be cautious of them playing in the neighborhoods. β This means it's officially patio season and finding all the good places with patios to sip and people watch. I'm looking forward to the farmer's market starting again and the outdoor concerts make easy weekend plans. β Have you watched the finale of Paradise yet? π Don't tell me...I'm going to sit down and enjoy it tonight, or this weekend when I get an hour to indulge. β This weekend is Resurrection Sunday, if you're of Christian faith, blessings. β Let's get into this weeks events. β P.S. Did you see the ending to that UCONN vs Duke game π????!!! π³π€― IYKYK β

Instead of a word scramble this week we have a new game and my second favorite topic....COLOR. βI got a 44.21 / 50 on the easy level. Let me know if you beat my score and have fun!! Play at the link below π β
What: A quick brain-teaser to test how you see color. You will be shown 5 colors and the goal is to recreate the color you see. It takes like 2 mins, tops. 1. You will be shown a color for a few seconds then you use the sliders to the left of the screen to try and recreate the color you were shown.
2.When you have the sliders adjusted press the white bullseye to lock in your selection. You will immedialtey see how close you came to the original hue and your score for that color.
Trade heavy for warm: swap winter-dark accents for terracotta, peach, coral, or amber.
Add one organic element: flowers, branches, or anything a little undone and alive.
Style for company: a lounge chair, cocktail setup, or breakfast-table moment makes a space feel seasonally inviting.

Savannah Music Festival (still going strong)β π Savannah, GA π Mar 27 β Apr 12 π² $$β$$$ (ticketed events)
What: A full lineup of jazz, classical, folk, and global artists set across Savannahβs historic venuesβequal parts music trip and weekend getaway. Come for a show, stay for the Spanish moss, and make a whole thing out of it.
Drive Time: ~4 to 4.5 hours from Alpharetta (easy straight shot down I-16 once youβre past Macon)
Where to Stay:
Historic District (best overall): walkable to venues, restaurants, and squares
The DeSoto Savannah β central, reliable, good for first-timers
Perry Lane Hotel β more design-forward, rooftop energy, great for a girlsβ trip or couples
Airbnb in the Historic District β ideal for families or groups who want space
Family-Friendly?β Yesβwith a caveat. The festival itself leans more adult / music-focused, but Savannah as a destination is very family-friendly:
daytime exploring (Forsyth Park, riverfront, trolley tours)
casual dining everywhere
flexible schedule (you donβt have to build the whole trip around concerts)
π Translation:
Great for families with older kids or teens
Better as a βparents + one or two eventsβ trip than a kid-centered itinerary
β Thanks for being here and have a great week! β β

Alpharetta, Milton, Johns Creek & Roswell Events: Mar 12 β Mar 18 Hey Neighbors, Some weeks the world feels a little heavy, doesnβt it? The kind of week where you briefly wish there were a big red button labeled pause. Since that doesnβt exist, the next best thing might be doing something small and localβseeing some live music, wandering a park, or raising a glass of green beer with friends. Lucky for us, Alpharetta has a few of those options this week. P.S. My current carbonated beverage...
